Beeswax Candle Care
BEESWAX PILLAR CANDLES:
To ensure optimum burning - we recommend following these guidelines:
- Burn within sight at all times.
- Always use a drip tray to catch melting wax. Due to the various shapes, each candle will burn differently and we recommend using a drip tray. Even better, we recommend using a sheet of baking paper underneath your candle to catch the melting wax as it makes for easy collection once the wax is dry. Melted wax on surfaces is hard and sticky to remove, but if your drip tray is oven-proof you can put in the oven on a low temperature to melt and remove wax.
- Candles will burn differently due to their unique shape and won't always reach the edges. You can 'fold' in the corners closer to the wick to ensure it burns more of the candle. Our circle candles have the most wastage. When your candle has finished burning, you can simply remelt the wax in an heat proof jar (double boiler method) and re-wick to create a new candle.
- Always trim your wick before each burn to about 5mm.
- If your candle burns unevenly, rotate it to even up the burn.
- If your flame is too big once lighting, blow it out, trim the wick and then relight it.
- Keep away from drafts and keep out of reach from children or animals.
- Don’t burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid decolouration and softening of the wax.
- Burn times are approximate and will depend on burning conditions (i.e. drafts).

To ensure optimum burning - we recommend following these guidelines:

- Rotate candle if it is favouring one side.
- Trim wick to 6mm before each burn.
